Smögen II in black calf offers a refined take on the classic penny loafer, balancing timeless design with a distinctly Scandinavian sensibility. Crafted from supple full-grain calf, its silhouette is defined by an elegant apron front and clean, understated lines. The deep black hue lends a versatile and polished character, making it a cornerstone of a well-edited wardrobe.

Each pair is handcrafted in Portugal using a Blake-stitched construction for a flexible and lightweight feel. Shaped on our newly developed Last #21, it features a classic almond-shaped toe and a normal width, ensuring a comfortable and well-proportioned fit. Details such as the leather board heel stiffener and cork filling provide structure and support that adapt to the foot over time.

The versatility of Smögen II in black calf allows it to transition effortlessly across occasions. It serves as a sophisticated foundation for tailored suits in a professional context and pairs just as well with relaxed slacks or sharp denim for smart-casual engagements. This is a loafer designed for year-round wear, equally suited for the office, evening events, or refined weekend outings.

Embodying a commitment to craftsmanship and enduring style, Smögen II is a modern essential. It is a well-made penny loafer for men who value subtle sophistication, comfort, and the lasting appeal of a classic black calf shoe.

Made on Myrqvist's Last #21.

Care Instructions

  • Use shoe trees to ensure that your shoes maintain their shape.
  • Brush off superficial dust and dirt after each wear, and rotate your shoes to prevent wearing the same pair two days in a row.
  • Polish your shoes regularly to keep the leather soft and subtle. We recommend using Myrqvist's Shoe Cream. You can either apply it with an application brush, or a polishing cloth. Buff off excess shoe cream using a horsehair brush.
  • Apply a thin layer of wax over the shoe for extra protection and shine. We recommend using Myrqvist's Shoe Wax. Buff to a shine using a horsehair brush.
