Smögen II in dark brown calf reimagines the classic apron-front penny loafer with a refined, contemporary sensibility. Crafted from rich, full-grain calf, the deep brown hue lends a versatile and sophisticated character to the shoe. The silhouette is shaped on our newly developed Last #21, which features an elegant almond-shaped toe and a normal width, creating a balanced and timeless profile.

Handcrafted in Portugal, every detail is carefully considered for both style and comfort. The Blake stitched construction offers a sleek profile and excellent flexibility from the very first wear. Inside, a leather board heel stiffener provides durable structure, while a cork filling gradually moulds to the foot, ensuring a personalised and comfortable fit over time.

The versatility of Smögen II in dark brown calf makes it an indispensable addition to a well-curated wardrobe. It pairs effortlessly with everything from tailored trousers and formal slacks to more relaxed denim, transitioning smoothly between the office, evening events, and smart-casual weekend gatherings. It is a loafer designed for year-round wear.

Rooted in Scandinavian design principles, Smögen II is a testament to understated elegance and quality craftsmanship. It is a well-made loafer for men who appreciate timeless design, comfort, and the enduring appeal of dark brown calf leather shoes.

Made on Myrqvist's Last #21.

Care Instructions

  • Use shoe trees to ensure that your shoes maintain their shape.
  • Brush off superficial dust and dirt after each wear, and rotate your shoes to prevent wearing the same pair two days in a row.
  • Polish your shoes regularly to keep the leather soft and subtle. We recommend using Myrqvist's Shoe Cream. You can either apply it with an application brush, or a polishing cloth. Buff off excess shoe cream using a horsehair brush.
  • Apply a thin layer of wax over the shoe for extra protection and shine. We recommend using Myrqvist's Shoe Wax. Buff to a shine using a horsehair brush.
