A new shoe is in town

Some shoes just know how to make an entrance.

This is Högalid, our new sneaker, and it is a bit different from the ones we have made before. We have always kept our sneakers fairly clean. This time we wanted something with more going on.

The name stems from Högalid, Södermalm. It is a calm neighborhood right around the corner from lively Hornstull, where the evenings run late and patrons never want to stop dancing. Which felt just about right for this model.

Then there are the panels, which we have been hinting at for a while. Follow them along the side and they form an M. We have never been keen on logos, so when our name goes on a shoe it goes on quietly. On Alnö it's in the elastics. On Högalid it's in the panels.

The upper is natural grain leather or suede with a leather lining, on a light, flexible gum sole. Our comfort insole is inside, and like everything we make, it is handcrafted in Portugal.

It's as perfect for a slow Sunday stroll as it is for one drink too many at your favorite wine bar.

Högalid is out now, in white and black natural grain and taupe suede.
